SINGULARITY POINT
S ☉ U L T ▽ N . 🜁 r t
Singularity Point takes its name from an astronomical concept—where the known laws of physics collapse into the infinite. For me, this idea captures the essence of our music: a space where structure gives way to possibility, and sound emerges through spontaneity, experimentation, and real connection.
As the group’s founder, I’m drawn to the dynamic tension between form and freedom. Our music is rooted in improvisation and original composition, guided by the energy of the present moment. Melodies unfold into layered polyphonies and intense harmonies—where dissonance isn’t something to avoid but a tool to express raw emotion and complexity.
Each performance is a living process, shaped by the personalities of the ensemble and the moment we share with our audience. Singularity Point is a space for exploration, where music becomes a way to experience identity, instinct, and collective sound

During the COVID period, when performances were still limited, I received support from the Norma Fund to develop my project ideas and create a performance concept for unconventional spaces.
Together with Lida, we formed MARUSKES and began performing in bookstores across the Netherlands—starting a collaboration that continues to inspire and motivate both of us
MARUSKES is a duo that creates original music rooted in improvisation and storytelling.
Our sound is eerie, psychedelic and mysterious.
We compose music based on short stories (Bora Chung, Shirley Jackson), mythology, films and our current subjects of focus are movement, migration, and transformation where we create our own imaginary space.

Paper Throne is a duo we formed together with George Hadow, where we continuously reinvent instant composing — making music spontaneously without any prior plans or limits.
Our performances happen entirely in the moment, shaped by a personal and unique style where each improvisation is rooted in the now and evolves differently every time.
The interplay between saxophone and percussion allow us to explore a wide range of expressions, from bold and dramatic to quiet and delicate, always with surprise and spontaneity at the core.

S ☉ U L T ▽ N

S ☉ U L T ▽ N is my solo project, which is just beginning to take shape.
I presented the first performance at TREEHOUSE as the closing event of the exhibition Attuning Our Bodies. This opportunity allowed me to bring together several elements and concepts I’ve been developing over time—combining my music with my visual art, sketches, and visuals.
The project is dedicated to my grandmother Soultana, from whom I got my name It’s an ode to my culture, my heritage, my ancestors, and all the influences that live deeply within me.
I plan to divide the project into several series, beginning with Echoes of the Unheard. I'm really happy to be offered to do a residency at Faberllull, Olot the upcoming November to work further on my projecct , so i will share more updates on the project soon.

Echoes of the Unheard is a multisensory performance exploring the emotional layers of sound, memory, and identity. Combining improvisation, personal recordings, and visual elements, the work transforms silence and absence into presence. Through sound and image, I reflect on what it means to be unheard—and how being fully present with sound can revive long-lost memories and emotional depth. The project invites the audience into an intimate space where sound becomes both a language and a memory.
Tania Zountsa – compositions, sketches, photos
Mārtiņš Kursītis – visuals, video editing
Margherita Allegrini – visuals, video editing, live visuals
Visuals were developed collaboratively, with Martin and Margherita assisting in editing and shaping the final video presentation for the performance.
More footage of my solo performance will be uploaded soon
